Lextech is an iOS medical lab app with a very concrete design challenge: a lot of highly sensitive clinical information that needs to be read fast and without ambiguity — the kind of product where a visual hierarchy mistake isn’t just a UX problem.
My role
Product design for a data-dense app, built strictly on Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, prioritizing clarity and predictability over any visual decoration.
Designing for precision
In healthcare, pattern familiarity matters more than originality. The work centered on using the components and conventions the OS already taught the user, and saving design effort for what actually needed it: critical result hierarchy, alert states, and review flows.
The outcome
An app a healthcare professional can read with confidence under time pressure, built on iOS conventions that need no extra learning curve.
